This year has been unlike any we’ve ever experienced. We have experienced significant change; from our leadership, to our branding to the way we deliver our services. It’s been a time to reflect and to be grateful for the new opportunities, the successes and the wonderful new people who have joined our organisation this year.

When we began this year we could never have imagined the environment we would find ourselves in. To say it’s been an enormous challenge for us all is understating it. But despite the turmoil that surrounded the second half of the year, we stayed true to what really mattered, and that is supporting people in our community.

VisAbility

Our purpose is to support and inspire people living with low or no vision to live the life they want, with confidence.

  • 42,493 Total number of service hours delivered in WA
  • 5623 Total no of service hours delivered in Tasmania
  • 2 New services launched
  • 2853 People accessed our services across WA and Tasmania
  • Awards VisAbility was a finalist in 3 categories of the NDS WA awards – Excellence and Advocacy and Rights Promotion, Innovation and Leadership Excellence, Excellence in Innovation – Winner.

Kites

Our purpose is to ensure children, and their families, are not defined by the challenges they face, but emboldened by them.

Guide Dogs WA & Tasmania

Our purpose is to enable people who are blind or vision impaired to be safe and independent in their communities.

  • 196 Puppy raising and boarding volunteers
  • 16 Dogs graduated
  • 647 Aftercare visits
  • $6,323,142 Fundraising income raised

  • Staff satisfaction rating Covid19's impact was felt by all staff, in their personal and professional lives, and this was reflected in our annual staff survey. We listened and supported staff during this difficult time through regular employee pulse surveys, Zoom catch ups and CEO update emails.
