We are establishing a Client Advisory Group made up of people who use our services, carers, representatives and family members. We want to know what is important to you, so we can improve the quality of our services at EverAbility.
We invite members to share ideas and opinions about:
- The quality and range of services we provide.
- The technology we and our clients use.
- How we communicate and provide resources.
- Areas for improvement or concern.
How can you participate?
The group will consist of a maximum of 10 members and include a representative from each service, in each state, where possible. This is a voluntary role.
Members of the Client Advisory Group will be invited to participate bi-monthly (June, August, October, December, February, April) and these will be conducted online or sometimes in person.
Members will join the Client Advisory Group for one year with a possibility of extension.
How is my feedback used?
The purpose of the advisory body is to provide EverAbility’s Board and Executive Team feedback about the organisation’s quality of care for each of its services.
We will then consider the advisory group’s feedback when making decisions about the quality of care and services.
We will write back to the advisory group about how its feedback was considered.
Who can join?
Every 12 months, we will write to all service users and their representatives to seek interest in participating in a client advisory group. Following the nomination process, members will be selected based on several factors relevant to their experience, location, service reflective of diversity of age, gender, and culture.
We welcome an inclusive Client Advisory Group, including people who live with dementia or disability, as well as First Nations people; people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds; and lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans/transgender, intersex, queer and other sexuality, gender, and bodily diverse people.
What authority will the Client Advisory Group have?
The Group shall be in an advisory capacity only.
If I can’t come to a face-to-face meeting. Can I still be a member?
Yes, you can. We offer a range of methods for you to engage with us. Just let us know on your Expression of Interest form which is your preferred method. For some tasks we may be able to phone you.
