EverAbility Group is pleased to welcome Emer Hickey as Chief Operations Officer.
Emer brings more than 20 years’ experience across disability, aged care and mental health services, underpinned by a strong commitment to person-centred practice and operational excellence.
Originally from Ireland, Emer trained as a social care worker before moving to Perth in 2008. Since then, Western Australia has become home, where she has built a career grounded in values-led leadership and meaningful community impact.
Emer joins us from Avivo: Live Life, where she held a variety of roles, including Chief Operating Officer for 3.5 years.
Emer is known for her hands-on approach and her belief in staying closely connected to both clients and frontline teams. Throughout her career, she has regularly worked alongside staff — joining shifts, supporting people in their daily activities, and contributing wherever needed. This practical involvement reflects her belief that understanding the lived experience of both clients and teams is essential to building strong, responsive organisations.
Known for building cultures of innovation and accountability, Emer empowers leaders and strengthens systems that improve service quality and the employee experience. She works closely with boards and executive teams to clarify strategy, enhance governance, and deliver sustainable outcomes.
She is passionate about fostering inclusive, high-performing teams and is looking forward to connecting with colleagues across EverAbility to learn more about the services and communities they support.
EverAbility Group Chief Executive Anna Presser welcomed Emer to the organisation:
“Emer’s vast experience, person-centred approach and passion for quality service delivery will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen and grow our impact across the community.”
Emer joins EverAbility Group’s Executive team alongside Chief Marketing Officer Dana Wallace-Campbell and Chief Financial Officer Annette Frazer.
