The EverAbility Group (EverAbility) acknowledges and thanks Scott Marston for his outstanding contribution as a director over three consecutive terms. Scott joined the then called VisAbility Board in July 2016 following the merger with Guide Dogs Tasmania, where he had served since 2012. He has held the role of Deputy Chair from 2015. His leadership and insight have been instrumental in guiding the organisation through significant change and growth.
Scott brought deep governance expertise and strategic acumen to the Board, drawing on an impressive career in public administration and research leadership. Prior to his board tenure, Scott served as Deputy Secretary with the Tasmanian Department of Premier and Cabinet and as General Manager of the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies at the University of Tasmania. These roles shaped his ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and deliver outcomes that matter.
Holding a Bachelor of Business and postgraduate qualifications in Project Management and Franchising, Scott has consistently championed strong governance, risk management, and client focused decision making. His contribution has strengthened EverAbility’s capacity to deliver services that empower people with disability.
Beyond his professional achievements, Scott is a devoted family man—partner to Lisa, Founder and Director of Earworx, and proud father of a son, two daughters and three step-daughters.
As Scott has completed his third and final term, EverAbility expresses sincere gratitude for his dedication, wisdom, and commitment to our mission. We wish him every success in his future endeavours as he stepped down from the board in December 2025.
Scott’s role as the Deputy Chair of the EverAbility board has been replaced by current board member John Nolan.
